Trials and Speed Trials

Max Schulze

Unicyclist for 17 years

Why did you join the Unicon 21 team?   I want to make really hard trials obstacles for the world's best unicycle trials riders! Also, I was born in Minnesota and it's a good chance to go back and to ride with old friends and make new friends!

Favorite unicycle activities:  Trials, Street, Muni, Flatland

Owen Farmer

I’m joining the UNICON team because unicycling has given so much to me over the years and I am hoping to inspire the next generation of riders.

I mostly ride muni, as well as the occasional unipacking tour or trials ride.

Cyclocross

Dave Krack

Unicycling since 2005 (or was it '04?)

Why did you join the Unicon 21 team?

It all started with Ride the Lobster in 2008. We (Lisa and I) have been attending unicycling conventions ever since. In 2013 we hosted NAUCC and debuted Cyclocross (CX), which was then picked up for Unicon 17. I'd been racing a uni in local MTB/CX races since 2008. Uni CX is a great event for participants and spectators, so it makes sense to be involved with organizing it!

Favorite unicycling activities:

CX, XC Muni, Road Racing, and sharing the fun of one with free-to-the-public classes at our local Y.

I wanted to give back to a community that has provided me with so many friends and smiles over the years so that everyone can share that joy.

Favorite unicycle activities?

My favorite unicycle activities are cyclocross, muni, and freestyle but I also love the social aspect of unicycling. Teaching, learning, and laughing with new and experienced riders of all ages!

Why did you join the Unicon 21 team? I joined the Unicon team because unicycling was and is such a huge part of my life and who I am today; my best friends, husband, and even my new hobbies I owe all to Unicycling! I’m honored to be able to give back to the community and volunteer for Unicon this year, especially since it is in my lovely birth place/state of Minnesota.

Favorite unicycle activities: I started as a freestyle unicyclist, but in the more recent years have transitioned into flatland/flatstyle. I also enjoy the social aspect of unicycling!

Also, I am so excited for Unicon to be in my home state of Minnesota! My favorite type of unicycling is freestyle, but I’ve gotten more into road riding and muni in the last few years.

Why did you join the U21 team?

Some time ago we started to develop our own false start monitoring system. We were able to use it for the first time at a UNICON in France. After we received a lot of positive feedback. We were asked if we could also make our expertise available to Union 21. And we are very happy to do so!

Mark Fabian

I started unicycling in 2005 as a way to improve my balance while I save up for a trials bike. Plans changed slightly, the trials part remained, but since I fell in love with unicycling I decided to chase it with one wheel. I believe it was one of the best decisions in my life.

I joined the Unicon team as a co-Event Director for Street and Flatland. I am a Trials rider by my heart, but I enjoy organising these events. This is going to be my 3rd Unicon co-event directing these events.

My favourite unicycle activities are riding trials and being with my uni friends. Best is both at the same time.

I learned to unicycle when I was 11 years old at the YMCA Black Hills Unicycle club and have been a part of the club ever since. I have also been doing videography for the past 12 years in various jobs and rolls, and now currently own my own business, Zsomething Films, LLC which primarily focuses on creating adventurous wedding films for couples. Although I also do my fair share of commercial and event type videography as well! I am super excited to get to film and put together daily videos of all that's happening at U21

Felix Regelsberger - Info Point
